De vijf vraagstukken waarmee farmaceutische merkteams bij ons komen
Herkenbare knelpunten — en waarom MSA ze als enige kan oplossen.
1. “Our marketing agency cannot do what we need”
The problem. A sample campaign, a display with products, an information package with product packaging – as soon as a pharmaceutical or medical product is in the box, the question changes. Your advertising agency creates beautiful campaigns, but has no wholesale license and no GDP processes. While everything goes well, no one notices. During an audit, inspection or incident, they do.
The consequence is that good ideas get stuck on the question “is this actually allowed?”, or worse: they proceed without anyone asking that question.
What MSA does.
We execute marketing and sampling campaigns under our own Farmatec wholesale license, with GDP-certified processes and a designated Responsible Person. The creative work and regulated execution lie with the same party. The licensing question is answered before you ask it.
2. “Our representatives have become couriers”
The problem. Material for healthcare professionals – brochures, demo materials, information packages – often reaches the end user through the representative. They take boxes in the car and deliver them during visits.
That costs the most expensive time you have: sales time. And it is uncontrollable. No one knows what inventory is where, what has been distributed, or what is past its expiration date in a car trunk.
What MSA does. We build a closed ordering environment where professionals and representatives request what they need themselves. We pack and ship directly. Your representatives return to their actual work, and you gain insight into what has actually been taken.
3. “It gets stuck at the interface between suppliers”
The problem. The webshop is with a digital agency, storage with a logistics company, marketing with a third party. Each does their part well. The problems arise in between: orders that don’t go through, inventory levels that don’t match, returns that no one processes.
And if something goes wrong, three parties point at each other while you sort it out.
What MSA does.
Webshop, inventory, order processing, shipping and return handling are all under our roof in the same building. An order that comes in is an order that goes into the cabinet – no export files, no manual transfer, no blame game.
4. “Small shipments don’t fit our distributor’s model”
The problem. Your regular distribution partner excellently delivers pallets to pharmacy chains. But a shipment of three items to a general practice, or a single package to a patient at home, doesn’t fit that model – too small, too much handling, too little margin.
Brand teams solve this with workarounds: packaging themselves at the office, or simply not doing it at all.
What MSA does. We are set up for exactly this segment: small, frequent, regulated shipments. From OTC products to drugstores to prescription medication directly to the patient, with track & trace and conditioned transport where needed. Ordered before 4 PM is shipped the same day.
5. “We want to get closer to the patient, but are not allowed to deliver”
The problem. Direct delivery to patients is becoming increasingly relevant – in therapy adherence programs, digital healthcare initiatives, home treatment. But for prescription medication you need more than a wholesaler: a pharmacist must be involved to assess and release it.
That combination — commercial ambition and pharmacy function — is found with virtually no service provider. So the idea remains on the shelf.
What MSA does.
Via our integrated pharmacy function, we can cover the entire process: from intake and prescription to release by the pharmacist and delivery to the patient. One closed, controlled chain.
Why this is possible at MSA
These five challenges have one thing in common: they fall between two worlds. The marketing world is not allowed to do what is needed, the logistics world cannot do what is asked, and the pharmacy world does not do commerce.
MSA is the only direct marketing company in the Netherlands that combines wholesale, pharmacy function and marketing under one roof. That is why we don’t solve one of these challenges, but the connections between them.
